This notice is given under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025. A short version is shown in the app in English, Hindi, and Marathi before we collect your details. This page is the full notice. It is not a login, and it is not bundled with other contracts.

1. What we collect, and why

We only use this for the meter app. We do not sell your data. We do not take your fare money.

• Name, phone, meter serial number, vehicle number and UPI ID — so you can connect your Sansui meter, show a receipt, and take payment to your own UPI. Phone number is typed by you; we do not send an OTP in this version.
• Location (when you allow it) — start and end place on a receipt. Used while you use the app, not in the background to track you all day.
• Nearby devices / Bluetooth — to find and stay connected to your Sansui meter.
• Camera / photos (optional) — a meter photo on a receipt, only if you take one.
• Ride fare, distance, time, and payment mark — from the meter and this phone, so your earnings and receipts work without the internet after the meter is connected.
• A secret on this phone (install) — so this copy of the app can talk to Sansui’s service. If you uninstall the app, that secret is gone. A new phone is a new install.
• This phone’s model, Android version and battery saver setting — so Sansui can help when the app stops or restarts, and tell a new phone from a reinstall. Nothing in it identifies the phone itself.
• Meter identity (the radio and the board we sold) — so only a Sansui meter can be connected.

2. What we do not do

• We do not run a wallet. Fare goes to the UPI ID you typed, through your UPI app, or cash you mark as paid.
• We do not show your phone to passengers in this version (no passenger booking app yet).
• We do not use your data for ads.
• Children: this app is for licensed rickshaw drivers, not for children.

3. Where data is kept

Rides, expenses, and receipts stay first on this phone. Connecting a meter and some sync needs internet. Our service is reached at sansuicloud.sansuiscales.com. Servers may be in India. If that changes, we will update this notice.

Factory staff who commission meters can see a name and phone you typed, so they can help if a meter must be blocked. They do not get your UPI PIN or bank login.

4. How long we keep it

• On the phone: until you clear the app or uninstall.
• On our service: while the meter stay linked to this install, and for rides sent for checking, as long as needed to run the service, meet the law, or settle a dispute — then we delete or stop using it.

5. Your rights (DPDP)

You may ask to see, correct, or erase your personal data, raise a grievance, and nominate someone to act if you cannot. You may withdraw consent as easily as you gave it: uninstall the app, or write to us. If you withdraw, you cannot connect the meter or use receipts that need your details. The physical meter still works for fare on its own.

We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India as the law allows.

7. Security

Meter secrets on the phone use the phone’s secure storage. Our service uses HTTPS. No security is perfect. If a breach of personal data must be reported under law, we will follow that law.

8. Changes

If this notice changes in a way that needs a new consent, the app will ask you to agree again (new version id). Old version: 2026-08-privacy-v1.
